Privacy Policy

Summary: We collect minimal data. Business calculators and file utilities process everything in your browser. AI tools send your prompts to AI providers. We log tool usage events and errors for platform monitoring — never your input content or files. We do not sell your data.

1. Who We Are

Prakhar Bhaarat Enterprises ("we", "us", "Company") operates the Prakhar Bhaarat Tools platform at tools.prakharbhaarat.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you sign in, we collect:

Email address — from your Google account or entered during email sign-up.
Display name and profile picture — from your Google account (if using Google sign-in).

This information is stored in Supabase (our authentication and database provider) and in our application database for user management.

2.2 Usage Data

Tool usage logs — every time you use a tool (calculate, generate, or process), we log the tool ID, category, action type, timestamp, your IP address, and browser user-agent. If you are signed in, this is linked to your user account; otherwise it is linked to an anonymous session identifier.
AI request metadata — tool ID and token count for rate limiting and analytics. We do not permanently store the content of your AI prompts or responses on our servers.
Error logs — when a tool fails (JavaScript error, API failure, timeout, or provider error), we log the error message, stack trace, tool ID, and request context to help us diagnose and fix issues. This data does not include your input content or files.

2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

Calculator inputs/outputs — all calculations run in your browser. We never see your numbers.
Files — PDFs, images, and other files are processed entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers.
API keys — BYOK API keys are stored in your browser's localStorage. They are transmitted to our server over HTTPS only to proxy AI requests and are never logged or stored.

3. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate you and manage your account.
To save your tool usage history (when you click Save).
To enforce rate limits on AI tool usage.
To monitor tool reliability and diagnose failures using error logs.
To understand aggregate usage patterns and prioritize tool improvements.

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with the following third-party services:

Supabase

Authentication and database. Stores your account info and tool history. Supabase Privacy Policy

Google Identity Services

Used for Google sign-in. We receive your name, email, and profile picture. Google Privacy Policy

AI Providers (OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google AI)

AI tools require your own API key (BYOK). Your prompts are sent to the provider you chose, through your own API key, and are subject to that provider's data handling policies and terms.

5. Data Storage

5.1 Browser Storage (localStorage)

We store the following in your browser's localStorage:

pb_theme — your light/dark theme preference.
pb_lang — your language preference.
pb_history — cached copy of your tool history for fast loading.
pb_tool_usage — anonymous tool click counts for personalized tool sorting.
pb_byok — your BYOK API key configuration (if set).
pb_google_profile — cached Google profile data for avatar display.

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for tools.prakharbhaarat.com.

5.2 Server Storage

Account information and tool history are stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure). Rate limiting data is stored temporarily on our application server and automatically cleaned up.

Tool usage logs and error logs are stored in our application database. Usage logs are retained indefinitely for analytics. Error logs are retained for up to 90 days for debugging purposes and then automatically purged.

6. Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies. The Platform does not use any third-party analytics or advertising cookies. Supabase may set functional cookies for session management.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures including:

HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
Security headers (HSTS, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, XSS-Protection).
Rate limiting to prevent abuse.
Client-side processing for files and calculations (data never leaves your device).

No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your data by visiting your profile and history pages.
Delete your BYOK keys by clearing them from your profile.
Delete your localStorage data by clearing site data in your browser settings.
Request account deletion by contacting us at the email below.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
